Ambalapuzha palpayasam

Ambalapuzha palpayasam is one of my favorite payasam . Last day i found a video tutorial about making payasam just like Ambalappuha payasam. Preparation seems simple so I'm sharing that recipe here.



Requirements

Milk - 1/2 litter
Payasam rice(Chemba rice) - one cup full 
Sugar - two cup full
Cashew nut - 10 no
Cardamom -  powder 1tsp
Ghee -  1tsp

Preparation
  1. Wash and prepare rice , allow it to be emerged  in water for some time, this will help to cook rice faster.
  2. Put rice,milk,sugar together in pressure cooker ( best order first milk then rice then sugar.).
  3. First,allow it to cook in a low flame then increase flame after some time.Put pressure cooker weight on after steam appears.
  4. Cook it half an hour.
  5. Mean time fry some cashew nuts. After half an hour add cardamom and fried cashew in it.

Now the payasam is ready to serve.
